WHAT TO PREPARE: Actors will need to prepare 16 measures of their best vocal material, preferably in the style of the show. Bring your sheet music or a karaoke track (No vocals). No a cappella vocal auditions please. All Ethnicities and ages 16+ are encouraged to audition. Be prepared to stay and dance.
PERFORMANCE DATES: March 7-8, 13-15, 20-22 at 8 pm; and March 9 and 16 at 3 pm.
REHEARSALS will begin the first week of January; a read-thru will be in December
Rehearsals will be Sunday-Thursday evenings
We will work out a firm rehearsal schedule once we have a final cast and understand their conflicts.
Conflicts: Please be prepared to list ALL conflicts on your audition form, as we will use this to make the final schedule. No conflicts after February 22, 2025

SHOW SYNOPSIS:
It's 1962 in Baltimore, and the lovable plus-size teen, Tracy Turnblad, has only one desire – to dance on the popular "Corny Collins Show." When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob, Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network... all without denting her 'do!
