"The Minutes" Opens Halloween Night

Tracy Letts' play The Minutes follows a new city council member, Mr. Peel, who uncovers the dark secret behind the disappearance of a previous council member, Mr. Carp, during a town council meeting. The seemingly ordinary meeting in the fictional town of Big Cherry descends into a surreal and sinister mystery as Peel's relentless questioning exposes the town's hypocritical and fabricated "heritage," which is built on a foundational myth of conquest and power. The play is a social commentary on the power of myth, the distortion of truth for political gain, and the manipulative forces that can control a community's history.

All performances will be at Workshop Theatre at Cottingham Theatre of the Campus of Columbia College (1301 Columbia College Dr, Columbia, SC 20203). Ample parking is available on campus, but please abide by parking signs and park in appropriate spaces.

"GUYS AND DOLLS" Auditions on November 2 & 3

Workshop Theatre is excited to announce the auditions for GUYS AND DOLLS. Auditions will be Sunday and Monday, November 2 and 3 at 7 pm at Cottingham Theatre on the campus of Columbia College. GUYS AND DOLLS will run March 13 - 28, 2026 at 7 pm at Cottingham Theatre on the campus of Columbia College. ) at Cottingham Theatre of the Campus of Columbia College (1301 Columbia College Dr, Columbia, SC 20203). Actors will need to prepare 30 seconds of their best vocal material, preferably in the style of the show. Bring a karaoke track (No vocals). No a cappella vocal auditions please. Actors should dress appropriately and be prepared to move. We highly encourage people (16+ yoa) of all ethnicities, races, and gender identities to audition.

GUYS AND DOLLS is directed by Bakari Lebby, Music Direction by Kathy Seppamaki, with choreography by Katherine Brown.
